After having played for 4 minutes, Irakliy Kurennov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nantes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irakliy Kurennov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bob Mouchet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hassan Delestre in the 7th minute. Hervé Chauve received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bob Mouchet came out and tried to block the shot, but Hervé Chauve slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. The supporters of Nantes FC booed when Red Star F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noa Thevenot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Innokentiy Ismailov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Mohamed Luciani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohamed Luciani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noa Thevenot in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Hassan Delestre reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bob Mouchet. The goal made the score 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Nantes FC's Irakliy Kurennov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bob Mouchet. That made the score 3-0 after 38 minutes of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Hassan Delestre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nantes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hassan Delestre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Ratinaud was the one to do the kick off. Johnny Saux kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Hassan Delestre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bob Mouchet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohamed Luciani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Noa Thevenot went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After 72 played minutes Red Star F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Paul Bernardet. 74 minutes into the game, Evan Diguet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nantes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Star F.C. the free kick. Mohamed Luciani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noa Thevenot in the 76th minute. Red Star F.C. were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Nantes FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Innokentiy Ismailov took the corner. The Nantes FC fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Nantes FC's Hassan Delestre looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 87th minute, Irakliy Kurennov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bob Mouchet was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Innokentiy Ismailov hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Red Star F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nantes FC.
