Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 0) Romagnat's Sam Lannes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Romaric Pothin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Robert Ferrière managed to get in a good position for a shot. US Montélimar's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Ferrière was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-Francois Renault breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jean-Francois Renault showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noé Derville in the 14th minute of the match. When Robert Ferrière came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the US Montélimar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Ferrière couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noé Derville in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-Francois Renault prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 played minutes Romagnat got a freekick which was hit by Eymeric Taine. Noé Derville kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Jean-Francois Renault took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Ferrière, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Schindler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Daryl Jonquet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Romagnat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romaric Pothin to maneuver through the defense. Jean-Francois Renault came out of the goal and Noé Derville tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jean-Francois Renault made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Noé Derville sent off a good shot on target. Noé Derville fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Francois Renault having to interfere. Lucas Schlienger hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Marius Reinert kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Sam Lannes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romagnat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sam Lannes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Ferrière sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noé Derville could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Jean-Francois Renault made a huge save. In the 76th minute Robert Ferrière shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Francois Renault saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noé Derville sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noël Bessou charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noël Bessou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johan Dufrene's late challenge caught a Romagnat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noé Derville got free with Jean-Francois Renault in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romagnat's Jean-Francois Renault played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Ferrière in the 89th minute of play. If Noé Derville had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Ferrière sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean-Francois Renault didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Noé Derville went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. US Montélimar were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
