Denis Pignard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Lala Lala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrice Rochereau in the 16th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Mondelange got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Eynard. César Tourneux could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Denis Pignard made a huge save. The supporters of OLD PUNX NEVER DIE booed when Mondelange was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aymerick Eudeline didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, César Tourneux had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denis Pignard. Mondelange's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that César Tourneux was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 40th minute of the match, César Tourneux got a very nice opportunity to score, but Denis Pignard was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 41st minute, Mohamed-Ali Duffaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thibault Amy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Denis Pignard made a huge save. After 45 played minutes OLD PUNX NEVER DIE got a freekick which was hit by Zinedine Blonde. If Gildas Heck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mohamed-Ali Duffaut made a kick off. With 61 minutes on the clock, Gérald Salvador commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Lala Lala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Eynard, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thibault Amy in the 68th minute of play forced Mondelange's goalkeeper Denis Pignard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, OLD PUNX NEVER DIE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilan Friedmann to maneuver through the defense. Patrice Rochereau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Lala Lala made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Thibault Amy managed to get in a good position for a shot. OLD PUNX NEVER DIE's supporters rose to their feet, but Thibault Amy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denis Pignard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, Mondelange's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Saladin came free, but Denis Pignard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 5-3 when Thibault Amy sped through Mondelange's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Denis Pignard. In the 83rd minute, Thibault Amy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Steven Saladin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lala Lala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Eynard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zinedine Blonde fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OLD PUNX NEVER DIE's protests and gave Zinedine Blonde a yellow card for diving instead. Zinedine Blonde hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Yann Chancerel made in the 97th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by OLD PUNX NEVER DIE's Zinedine Blonde.
