The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sam Lannes to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, OLD PUNX NEVER DIE's César Tourneux nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean-Francois Renault made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Romagnat's zone, César Tourneux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Francois Renault came out of the goal and César Tourneux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gérald Salvador came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the OLD PUNX NEVER DIE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gérald Salvador couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute Romaric Pothin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lala Lala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lala Lala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eymeric Taine in the 61st minute of play. Lala Lala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romaric Pothin in the 63rd minute of the match. If César Tourneux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes, Romaric Pothin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Romagnat and the OLD PUNX NEVER DIE players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Romaric Pothin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. César Tourneux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. César Tourneux ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Romagnat's Romaric Pothin got a free kick in the 87th minute. 90 minutes in the game, César Tourneux fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jean-Francois Renault having to interfere.
