Lenny Bultel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Reçais's Elias Touzard got a free kick in the 13th minute. Murillo Kepa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lenny Bultel having to make a save. 17 minutes into the match, Jochen Sommerhalder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lenny Bultel. Reçais's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jochen Sommerhalder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Reçais's zone, Murillo Kepa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenny Bultel came out of the goal and Murillo Kepa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Reçais's goal looked a bit too open when Jochen Sommerhalder came free, but Lenny Bultel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jochen Sommerhalder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jochen Sommerhalder in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lenny Bultel saved Reçais from getting behind. After 24 played minutes massïlia got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Kepa. Sidney Bessou charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidney Bessou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sidney Bessou hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Louison Le Boucher during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jochen Sommerhalder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lenny Bultel came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by massïlia's Jochen Sommerhalder. But to his dismay, Jochen Sommerhalder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Hamza Métenier hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, massïlia's Patrice Lelarge seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Patrice Lelarge the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of massïlia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Patrice Lelarge had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of massïlia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Reçais:s goal. The excitement rose when Reçais's Jack Wiltord after 71 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for massïlia's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-6. In the 81st minute, massïlia's Murillo Kepa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lenny Bultel. Lenny Bultel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. If Sidney Bessou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89thth minute of the game Jochen Sommerhalder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Reçais's Lenny Bultel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hamza Métenier during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 94 played minutes Reçais got a freekick which was hit by Hamza Métenier. Hamza Métenier got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 96 played minutes Reçais got a freekick which was hit by Hamza Métenier. Reçais's Lenny Bultel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Reçais from getting a goal against them.
