In the 15th match minute, Merchâteau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franck Cabrol to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patxi Wach in the 19th minute of play forced Merchâteau's goalkeeper Eden Serra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Merchâteau's goal looked a bit too open when Cyril Hatte came free, but Eden Serra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugène Legris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Eden Serra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugène Legris in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eden Serra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. But to his dismay, Eugène Legris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 43 minutes into the game, Treigny's Edmond Veuillet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eden Serra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Jarod Hautin hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugène Legris to strike the kick off in the second half. Treigny's Edmond Veuillet got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute of the match, Eugène Legris tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eden Serra saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Merchâteau's Cyrille Raimbault in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Treigny's goalie prevented a goal. Eden Serra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugène Legris in the 63rd minute of play. Edmond Veuillet succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 64th playminute. 74 minutes into the match, Merchâteau's goal looked a bit too open when Eugène Legris came free, but Eden Serra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehdi Huguet hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. If Edmond Veuillet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugène Legris got free with Eden Serra in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute, Cyril Hatte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Treigny fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. If Eugène Legris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Treigny were furious when Michaël Delépine was red carded, 96 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the final whistle sounded Treigny left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Merchâteau.
