Spectators: 7937 (Terracing: 6071, Seating: 1861, VIP seats: 5) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Michel Niel made the kick off which started today's match. When Arthur Debord came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the SERBANNE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur Debord couldn't finish the play. A collision led to SERBANNE getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Lionel Brion hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Royal Eagles FC defense, Pierrick Soyer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathias Goiano. The Royal Eagles FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathias Goiano should have stopped the shot. Gilbert Gendolla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joe Baud read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Michel Niel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Joe Baud when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Michel Niel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joe Baud came out and tried to block the shot, but Michel Niel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 24th minute. After 27th play minutes Michel Niel shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Joe Baud and just under the crossbar into goal. After 32 played minutes Royal Eagles FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Pirmin. In the 36th minute Gilbert Gendolla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Baud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Debord, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michel Niel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Joe Baud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Pierrick Soyer made the kick off in the second half. SERBANNE's Joe Baud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Östlund in the 59th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michel Niel in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joe Baud saved SERBANNE from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in SERBANNE's zone, Gilbert Gendolla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joe Baud came out of the goal and Gilbert Gendolla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, SERBANNE's Pierrick Soyer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Bertrand Fourmy hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Mathias Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salim Breuil, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierrick Soyer in the 75th minute of play forced Royal Eagles FC's goalkeeper Mathias Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Michel Niel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal Eagles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Niel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Evan Guilmin sped through Royal Eagles FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mathias Goiano. In the 95th minute Gilbert Gendolla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Baud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
