Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jean-Pascal Raffin started the match with the kick off. Sochaux's Alou Bonjean proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Sochaux from getting a goal against them. In the 4th minute Hocine Chazal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Cornilleau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mathieu Tosi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alou Bonjean. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Sochaux's Alou Bonjean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Pascal Raffin in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Mottet got free with Alou Bonjean in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alou Bonjean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathieu Tosi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hocine Chazal in the 16th minute of play forced LPN's goalkeeper Jason Cornilleau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alou Bonjean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Pascal Raffin in the 18th minute of the match. Alou Bonjean made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Mottet in the 21st minute. Sochaux's Alou Bonjean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathieu Tosi in the 26th minute of play. Mathieu Tosi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Alou Bonjean made a huge save. Alou Bonjean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Pascal Schaff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alou Bonjean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Pascal Schaff, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Jean-Pascal Raffin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alou Bonjean having to interfere. In the 41st minute Jean-Pascal Raffin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alou Bonjean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LPN's Jean-Pascal Schaff got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alou Bonjean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Pascal Raffin in the 44th minute of play. When Yvan Fleck fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sochaux's protests and gave Yvan Fleck a yellow card for diving instead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jean-Yves Doisy was the one to do the kick off. In the 76th minute of the match Salim Larde sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alou Bonjean skillfully saved the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Sochaux's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Mottet came free, but Alou Bonjean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LPN's Jean-Pascal Schaff has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Sochaux's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Pascal Raffin came free, but Alou Bonjean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match Billy Valy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alou Bonjean skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Jean-Pascal Raffin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LPN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Pascal Raffin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sochaux's Alou Bonjean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathieu Tosi in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, LPN's Jean-Pascal Raffin got a free kick in the 90th minute. Christian Mottet took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alou Bonjean. Alou Bonjean dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. When the referee ended the match the LPN players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
