In the 37th minute Hakim Cossard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Tellier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joe Hurel hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A hard shot 43 in the game by René Christiaens from a close distance when the talented Nicolas Tellier managed to make a qualified save. Nilvange's players were relieved.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teddy Davesne to strike the kick off in the second half. After 62 played minutes Nilvange got a freekick which was hit by Hassan Lachenal. 64 minutes into the match, Nilvange's goal looked a bit too open when Hakim Cossard came free, but Nicolas Tellier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Teddy Davesne reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabian Guionnet. The goal made the score 2-1. When the referee ended the match the Pompeyasd players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
