Didenheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles-Henri Colin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabian Guionnet went to the wrong direction when Charles-Henri Colin was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charles-Henri Colin to make the kick off.
