The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Étienne Tabary got free with Stanislas Filhol in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, Neudorf's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Wennersten came free, but Djibril Favre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match Santifiak FC got a corner. Neudorf's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roland Wennersten ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sabri Tricoire thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Djibril Favre, a very annoying self made goal in the 9th minute which led to 0-1. In the 13th match minute, Neudorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Renauld to maneuver through the defense. After 16 minutes, Abraham Biret mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Neudorf and the Santifiak FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abraham Biret hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Roland Wennersten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Djibril Favre was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Diego Gall scored 2-3 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stanislas Filhol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carl Renauld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Stanislas Filhol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Étienne Tabary could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Stanislas Filhol made a huge save. Abraham Biret hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Teddy Curutchet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Djibril Favre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neudorf's Djibril Favre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Wennersten in the 42nd minute of play. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Calvin Jollivet with Abraham Biret as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 47th minute Carl Renauld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislas Filhol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Djibril Favre was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Roland Wennersten capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roland Wennersten really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Santifiak FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
