The audience thought a goal was coming when Sofiane Fleurant got free with Victor Claisse in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the match, Paris Saint Germain's goal looked a bit too open when Auguste Macaigne came free, but Victor Claisse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Lambres could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Paris Saint Germain throughout the match.
