Hugo Machard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Claisse having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ott Kalju's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Claisse was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The Rouen fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Rouen's Ott Kalju looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ott Kalju took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Claisse. Victor Claisse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 31 minutes into the match, Paris Saint Germain's goal looked a bit too open when Ott Kalju came free, but Victor Claisse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Ott Kalju notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Paris Saint Germain's Victor Claisse. Victor Claisse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Ott Kalju put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Victor Claisse. Victor Claisse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donovan Depoorter in the 45th minute of the match. Victor Claisse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ott Kalju, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-9 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bob Esther to make the kick off. Victor Claisse was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Davide Festa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 52 minute of play. After 66 minutes of play, Rouen's Ott Kalju made it 0-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Claisse was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute Donovan Depoorter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Claisse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Claisse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ott Kalju in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Davide Festa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Claisse. Paris Saint Germain's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Davide Festa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-14. In the 79th minute, Rouen's Ott Kalju ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victor Claisse. Victor Claisse yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-16. 83 minutes into the match, Paris Saint Germain's goalkeeper Victor Claisse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ott Kalju. In the 84th minute of the match Rouen got a corner. Paris Saint Germain's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hugo Machard ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Donovan Depoorter to score against Victor Claisse in Paris Saint Germain's goal. 0-17 after 85 minutes. 88 minutes into the match, Ott Kalju had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Claisse. Paris Saint Germain's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ott Kalju was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-18. Léon Beaussart kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Rouen left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paris Saint Germain.
