Seating: 1951, VIP seats: 169) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jérémie Baudry got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jérémie Baudry in the 10th minute of play forced Flaxlanden's goalkeeper Élie Maniere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Élie Maniere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jérémie Baudry in the 18th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Hippolyte Mineau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Martial Celton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of GENY booed when Flaxlanden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Darcy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Joaquim Renucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. GENY's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Renucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Élie Maniere breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Modeste Métenier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Élie Maniere having to interfere. Élie Maniere came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by GENY's Modeste Métenier. But to his dismay, Modeste Métenier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Sylvain Bonnel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, GENY's goal looked a bit too open when Hippolyte Mineau came free, but Martial Celton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Massy's late challenge caught a Flaxlanden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Massy helped the player get up and apologised. Joaquim Massy kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. If Eliott Jarrige had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Hippolyte Mineau made the kick off in the second half. Élie Maniere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jérémie Baudry in the 54th minute of the match. Nolan Bruno kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to GENY getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mustapha Lancelle hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, GENY's goal looked a bit too open when Hippolyte Mineau came free, but Martial Celton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Modeste Métenier got free with Élie Maniere in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the game, Joaquim Renucci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GENY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flaxlanden the free kick. In the 69th minute, one of GENY:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GENY. Martial Celton went to the wrong direction when Pierrick Perrichon was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Modeste Métenier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Élie Maniere having to interfere. Jérémie Baudry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylvain Bonnel in the 84th minute of play forced GENY's goalkeeper Martial Celton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hippolyte Mineau might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martial Celton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hippolyte Mineau ran back to his position shaking his head. Élie Maniere made an important save on a dangerous shot by Modeste Métenier in the 91st minute. Flaxlanden's Élie Maniere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Flaxlanden from getting a goal against them. GENY's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
