Jim Bannatyne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Pandele, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

In the 57th match minute, Pélicans FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc-Aurèle Nortier to maneuver through the defense. Jim Bannatyne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Pandele in the 59th minute of the match. Pélicans FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bart Anelka in the 62nd minute. Corentin Audinet tried in the game's 63rd match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Angelo Melito. An annoying self made goal, 3-2. Sofiane Faivre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jim Bannatyne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ernest Pandele came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Elsa Esnoult fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Pandele couldn't finish the play. When Stanislas Bagot fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pélicans FC's protests and gave Stanislas Bagot a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Pélicans FC got a freekick which was hit by Stanislas Bagot. In the 80thth minute of the game Toufik Bichon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pélicans FC's Jim Bannatyne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Angelo Melito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc-Aurèle Nortier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pélicans FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Elsa Esnoult from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
