The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Mathieu Guiton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saint Côme de Fresné and the FC 93 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC 93 booed when Saint Côme de Fresné was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieu Guiton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darren Carles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Gameiro Lenoble made a huge save. Davy Poirrier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Quentin Hellio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saint Côme de Fresné's Erwin Jury got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darren Mignot kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, FC 93's goal looked a bit too open when Davy Poirrier came free, but Quentin Hellio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Milon hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A collision led to Saint Côme de Fresné getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Yannick Bach hit a great ball. Darren Carles in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gameiro Lenoble, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Davy Poirrier put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Quentin Hellio. A throw-in in the 44th minute of the game was made by Jean-Pascal Daix with Luc Marbach as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a rather tough play, FC 93's Lucas Milon got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bakary Peyret was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Davy Poirrier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quentin Hellio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bakary Peyret in the 58th minute of play forced Saint Côme de Fresné's goalkeeper Gameiro Lenoble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Saint Côme de Fresné getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Luc Boulogne hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Jean-Pascal Daix sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gameiro Lenoble skillfully saved the ball. Quentin Hellio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davy Poirrier's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Gameiro Lenoble showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Gilles, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Saint Côme de Fresné's Davy Poirrier in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Davy Poirrier might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quentin Hellio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davy Poirrier ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davy Poirrier in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quentin Hellio saved FC 93 from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in FC 93's zone, Davy Poirrier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quentin Hellio came out of the goal and Davy Poirrier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Davy Poirrier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saint Côme de Fresné's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC 93 the free kick. After 89 played minutes Saint Côme de Fresné got a freekick which was hit by Davy Poirrier. Davy Poirrier scored 0-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Quentin Hellio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Saint Côme de Fresné supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Saint Côme de Fresné would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
