Spectators: 8462 (Terracing: 6347, Seating: 1946, VIP seats: 169) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Guy Gagnaire made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, Jordy Lemaire recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maël Romanet. Jordy Lemaire showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Reyrieux's goal looked a bit too open when Daryl Cottineau came free, but Maël Romanet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Étoile du Sud's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ludomir Tipinski in the 8th minute. Maël Romanet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daryl Cottineau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Étoile du Sud were awarded a corner. Ludomir Tipinski went to the cornerflag to take it. Jordy Lemaire's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Maël Romanet firmly grabbed it by the left post. 22 minutes into the match, Reyrieux's goal looked a bit too open when Daryl Cottineau came free, but Maël Romanet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noa Jannot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Theo Chaput tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Noureddine Pinet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Reyrieux's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Étoile du Sud the free kick. The supporters of Étoile du Sud booed when Reyrieux was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noureddine Pinet didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Reyrieux's Maël Romanet got control of the ball when Jordy Lemaire tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute, Flavian Sureau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Reyrieux's goal looked a bit too open when Daryl Cottineau came free, but Maël Romanet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Reyrieux's Marin Guine got a free kick in the 41st minute. Maël Romanet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daryl Cottineau in the 42nd minute of play. Jordy Lemaire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Maël Romanet made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Étoile du Sud's zone, Noa Jannot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Chaput came out of the goal and Noa Jannot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Étoile du Sud's Noël Chamayou was substituted for Jordy Lemaire.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daryl Cottineau to make the kick off. Noël Chamayou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maël Romanet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noël Chamayou in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Noël Chamayou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maël Romanet was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guy Gagnaire in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Theo Chaput prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guy Gagnaire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Theo Chaput read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Maël Romanet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludomir Tipinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Étoile du Sud's Gérard Delmotte got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 85th minute Daryl Cottineau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maël Romanet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Stanislas Patte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Reyrieux's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Étoile du Sud the free kick. After 86 played minutes Reyrieux got a freekick which was hit by Stanislas Patte. In the 93rd minute Daryl Cottineau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maël Romanet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Étoile du Sud were the better team. Étoile du Sud's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
