Noureddine Pinet kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Maël Romanet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Youri Bénezet in the 13th minute. Cyrille Arnault made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy Gagnaire in the 18th minute of play. Flavian Sureau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cyrille Arnault tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reyrieux's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal FC the free kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guy Gagnaire made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Gauthier Sylla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reyrieux's supporters rose to their feet, but Gauthier Sylla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cyrille Arnault breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gauthier Sylla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guy Gagnaire might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cyrille Arnault. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guy Gagnaire ran back to his position shaking his head. After 58 played minutes Reyrieux got a freekick which was hit by Noureddine Pinet. Blaise Mullot charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Guine in the 64th minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Cyrille Arnault to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
