Hugues Lahousse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Fotis Kouklakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind marseille's goalkeeper Hugues Lahousse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Aureo Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The marseille fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Hugues Lahousse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Argyris Kanetis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugues Lahousse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jérémie Boix in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute Athéna were awarded a corner. Selçuk Kara went to the cornerflag to take it. Jérémie Boix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugues Lahousse having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Máximo Decimo to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Máximo Decimo in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kader Le Moigne saved Athéna from getting behind. In the 56th match minute, Athéna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Rodgers to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Argyris Kanetis notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of marseille's Hugues Lahousse. Hugues Lahousse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
