The audience thought a goal was coming when Jules Bucaille got free with Salomon Clermont in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the match, Villejust's goalkeeper Salomon Clermont had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amine Peyrard. Thanks to some nice moves Dylan Raynal could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Salomon Clermont however easily saved by the left post. After 25 minutes, Zinedine Charlot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olympique Versailles and the Villejust players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Olympique Versailles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zinedine Charlot to maneuver through the defense. Sammy Armand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Uriel Ixidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Brais kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Jules Bucaille struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Salomon Clermont didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympique Versailles. Dylan Raynal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Salomon Clermont skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Olympique Versailles's Gilbert Brouillard suffered a concussion after 38 minutes and had to leave the field. Jimmy Baert's late challenge caught a Olympique Versailles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jimmy Baert helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Villejust was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Baert to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jules Bucaille to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Jérôme Le Forestier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jules Bucaille came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Olympique Versailles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jules Bucaille couldn't finish the play. Villejust's Salomon Clermont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amine Peyrard in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Villejust's Ryan Deniel got a free kick in the 60th minute. Abdel Muret hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Jules Bucaille shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salomon Clermont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 played minutes Villejust got a freekick which was hit by Kamel Orsini. Jules Bucaille blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salomon Clermont having to make a save. Despite being the better team, Olympique Versailles failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
