They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jules Bucaille made a kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Greg Lequesne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Cristal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Greg Lequesne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uriel Ixidor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean-François Lajus in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Jules Bucaille's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Bocage was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 75th minute, Jean-Marc Taillefer made a precise shot to the right of Uriel Ixidor. Olympique Versailles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Lequesne in the 95th minute of play forced Olympique Versailles's goalkeeper Uriel Ixidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded AC Cristal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Olympique Versailles.
