Gilbert Caro made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Jules Bucaille sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Haulchin's zone, Jules Bucaille stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilbert Caro came out of the goal and Jules Bucaille tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amine Peyrard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Caro having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Jules Bucaille had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilbert Caro. Haulchin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jules Bucaille was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Gilbert Caro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jules Bucaille, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jules Bucaille in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilbert Caro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 19 minutes into the match, Haulchin's goalkeeper Gilbert Caro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dylan Raynal. After having played for 22 minutes, Zinedine Charlot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympique Versailles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zinedine Charlot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilbert Caro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jules Bucaille showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. Jules Bucaille fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Caro having to interfere. A collision led to Haulchin getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Mamadou Delobelle hit a great ball. Jules Bucailles short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Gilbert Caro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dylan Raynal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Gilbert Caro made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Haulchin's goal looked a bit too open when Jules Bucaille came free, but Gilbert Caro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Amine Peyrard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Gilbert Caro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilbert Caro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dylan Raynal went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Haulchin's Gilbert Caro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jules Bucaille in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Haulchin getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Thierry Clerget hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Dylan Raynal made a precise shot to the right of Gilbert Caro. Haulchin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 63 minutes into the match, Haulchin's goal looked a bit too open when Dylan Raynal came free, but Gilbert Caro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Haulchin getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Thierry Clerget hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Jordy Mornet shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilbert Caro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gilbert Caro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jules Bucaille in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute Jules Bucaille shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Caro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute Dylan Raynal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Caro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Caro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jules Bucaille in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Haulchin's goal looked a bit too open when Zinedine Charlot came free, but Gilbert Caro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zinedine Charlot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilbert Caro having to make a save. 81 minutes into the match, Jules Bucaille notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Haulchin's Gilbert Caro. Gilbert Caro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Dylan Raynal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilbert Caro was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 86th minute Dylan Raynal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Caro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dylan Raynal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 92 minutes into the game, Jules Bucaille cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Gilbert Caro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Olympique Versailles had played much better football throughout.
