Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vicente Millano started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Libertad Sarmiento in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Payan saved Blanquefort from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Libertad Sarmiento put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Adam Payan. Paulo Rue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sauveur Lisundia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sauveur Lisundia made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Paulo Rue sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the game, Real Sociedad's Vicente Millano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam Payan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Frédéric Pantel hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Sauveur Lisundia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Rue's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mickaël Julien in the 34th minute of play forced Real Sociedad's goalkeeper Sauveur Lisundia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Real Sociedad booed when Blanquefort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickaël Julien didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philibert Barba got free with Sauveur Lisundia in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Real Sociedad's Libertad Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Real Sociedad were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Rue to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Philibert Barba made a precise shot to the right of Sauveur Lisundia. Real Sociedad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Blanquefort's Adam Payan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Libertad Sarmiento in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Real Sociedad's Ale Kutas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Real Sociedad's Libertad Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Blanquefort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cédric Glatigny to maneuver through the defense. Blanquefort's Adam Payan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Blanquefort from getting a goal against them. Libertad Sarmiento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Payan having to make a save. Libertad Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Adam Payan made a huge save. Libertad Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Payan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Cédric Glatigny in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Sociedad's Youri Veillon. A collision led to Real Sociedad getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Youri Veillon hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Real Sociedad eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
