Yves Davesne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 9th minute, Marc-Antoine Desire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathieu Oudart struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Adrien Boche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranquet. In the 21st minute, Clem Riss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute, Christophe Gire left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sorges fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 30th match minute, Ranquet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustave Verot to maneuver through the defense. When Igor Papon fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sorges's protests and gave Igor Papon a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustave Verot in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrien Boche saved Sorges from getting behind. Mathieu Oudart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 minutes, Christophe Gire made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Ranquet's Yves Davesne tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Adrien Boche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathieu Oudart went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustave Verot made a kick off. Yves Davesne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christophe Gire in the 53rd minute. Mathieu Oudart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Adrien Boche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baptiste Geffard kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Adrien Boche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustave Verot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marc-Antoine Desire hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Bacary Racine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Élie Gamet's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yves Davesne firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 77 minutes, Gustave Verot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ranquet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustave Verot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Ranquet's goal looked a bit too open when Marc-Antoine Desire came free, but Yves Davesne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match Ibrahim Bourre sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adrien Boche skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Christophe Gire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorges's supporters rose to their feet, but Christophe Gire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yves Davesne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Yves Davesne successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Christophe Gire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Yves Davesne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustave Verot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrien Boche having to interfere. Christophe Gire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christophe Gire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Yves Davesne made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Marc-Antoine Desire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorges's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc-Antoine Desire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yves Davesne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Ranquet supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sorges's performance. The match ended with a win for Sorges.
