Manuel Espagnet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Nogueira in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Lyon Olympique 69's goal looked a bit too open when Guillaume Chaine came free, but Manuel Espagnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezar Nișu in the 13th minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Adrien Tanneau managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Lyon Olympique 69's Yuma Roekito fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adrien Tanneau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuma Roekito in the 20th minute. Armand Plaza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillaume Chaine charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillaume Chaine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Valette Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillaume Chaine to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute Cezar Nișu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yuma Roekito. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Yuma Roekito took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Adrien Tanneau to make any attempt to save it. Toni Dean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Adrien Tanneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Nelson Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valette Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelson Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Espagnet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yuma Roekito to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Cezar Nișu made a precise shot to the right of Adrien Tanneau. Valette Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Adrien Tanneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezar Nișu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuma Roekito in the 59th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lyon Olympique 69 defense, Guillaume Chaine kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Espagnet. The Lyon Olympique 69 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Espagnet should have stopped the shot. Adrien Tanneau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Dean in the 69th minute of the match. Yuma Roekito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrien Tanneau having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Toni Dean's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrien Tanneau was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, Guillaume Chaine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cezar Nișu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee ended the match the Lyon Olympique 69 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
