Fabien Barthez made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Dimitri Bougault sent off a good shot on target. Ludomil Kajdasz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noureddine Faivre in the 31st minute of play. Ludomil Kajdasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmondo Antonangeli in the 65th minute of the match. Fabien Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonin Dagorne in the 67th minute of play. Fabien Barthez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonin Dagorne's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Antonin Dagorne sped through Algrange's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabien Barthez. 73 minutes into the game, Algrange's Noureddine Faivre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ludomil Kajdasz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Fabien Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaud Konieczny in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Herblay booed when Algrange was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Favre didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Algrange's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitri Bougault came free, but Fabien Barthez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match Herblay got a corner. Algrange's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dimitri Bougault ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fabien Barthez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaud Konieczny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Herblay had won after a very even match.
