The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Felipe Cambranes kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Radomil Kaznocha put in a rough tackle. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marignane! John-David Bordet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Marignane's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Alva came free, but John-David Bordet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ulryk Ludwa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lüder Herbert in the 14th minute of play forced ALTHEN-DES-PALUDS's goalkeeper Raul Hondraita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Jérémy Saby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Raul Hondraita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. John-David Bordet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Oliveira in the 20th minute of the match. Felipe Cambranes charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Cambranes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes Marignane got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Cambranes. 22 minutes into the match, Marignane's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Alva came free, but John-David Bordet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marignane's Lüder Herbert got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John-David Bordet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Alva in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Edgardo Alva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John-David Bordet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulryk Ludwa got free with Raul Hondraita in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marignane's John-David Bordet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottfrid Håning in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Sampaio during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marignane's Simão Sampaio got a free kick in the 29th minute. John-David Bordet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Alva in the 30th minute of play. Marignane's John-David Bordet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Oliveira in the 31st minute of play. John-David Bordet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gottfrid Håning in the 34th minute of the match. Ulryk Ludwa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raul Hondraita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Ulryk Ludwa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Raul Hondraita made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Ulryk Ludwa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Raul Hondraita. That made the score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. Marignane's John-David Bordet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottfrid Håning in the 40th minute of play. John-David Bordet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gottfrid Håning in the 42nd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Marignane's goalkeeper John-David Bordet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raul Hondraita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulryk Ludwa, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute Gottfrid Håning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John-David Bordet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Hondraita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lüder Herbert in the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Marignane's goal looked a bit too open when Gottfrid Håning came free, but John-David Bordet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Guy Kern came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Marignane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guy Kern couldn't finish the play. Raul Hondraita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulryk Ludwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Simão Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, ALTHEN-DES-PALUDS's Gottfrid Håning dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. A collision led to Marignane getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Felipe Cambranes hit a great ball. Ulryk Ludwa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Marignane defense, Gottfrid Håning kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John-David Bordet. The Marignane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John-David Bordet should have stopped the shot. John-David Bordet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gottfrid Håning, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. ALTHEN-DES-PALUDS played a much better game than Marignane and deserved their victory. The Marignane players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
