The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Javier Bordat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelino Flor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when John-Paul Marquant got free with Qiu Zhi in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute Green Madness were awarded a corner. La Škarpa went to the cornerflag to take it. 11 minutes into the game, Marcel Lemahieu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Green Madness's Serge Grandidier quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 12 minutes into the match, SILMONT's goalkeeper Qiu Zhi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Terry Peysson. John-Paul Marquant might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Qiu Zhi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John-Paul Marquant ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, SILMONT's Qiu Zhi got control of the ball when John-Paul Marquant tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Terry Peysson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Green Madness's Terry Peysson got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, Ryan Monvoisin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Green Madness's Arnoldo Betadur quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 33 played minutes SILMONT got a freekick which was hit by Javier Bordat. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John-Paul Marquant in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Qiu Zhi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th match minute, SILMONT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Escudié to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, John-Paul Marquant cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Qiu Zhi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, John-Paul Marquant left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Green Madness fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After 55th play minutes John-Paul Marquant shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Qiu Zhi and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 63rd match minute, SILMONT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Yves Bayle to maneuver through the defense. After 65 played minutes Green Madness got a freekick which was hit by John-Paul Marquant. Qiu Zhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John-Paul Marquant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Green Madness were awarded a corner. La Škarpa went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martial Haas got free with Marcelino Flor in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by John-Paul Marquant in the 76th minute of play forced SILMONT's goalkeeper Qiu Zhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Rick Sánchez heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Rick Sánchez kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Javier Bordat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Marcelino Flor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Qiu Zhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Orhan Perk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, La Škarpa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SILMONT's Qiu Zhi didn't even have to move. Maël Colombet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Qiu Zhi having to interfere. Qiu Zhi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Terry Peysson's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Green Madness were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SILMONT for a fine match.
