Sjúrður Egholm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skælingur. Sjúrður Egholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Suni Jónsson in the 7th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Skælingur:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kunoy FS:s goal. In the 17th minute, Suni Jónsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Kunoy FS booed when Skælingur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jákup Midjurd didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Skælingur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jákup Midjurd to maneuver through the defense. If Atli Fróði Hansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ásbjørn Mikkelsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jónleif Eysturoy having to interfere. The supporters of Skælingur booed when Kunoy FS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jóan Frederiksberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingi Troest Davidsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Sjúrður Egholm made a huge save. If Suni Jónsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Kunoy FS defense, Ingi Troest Davidsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sjúrður Egholm. The Kunoy FS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sjúrður Egholm should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Suni Jónsson made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Zsolt Gunnarsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sjúrður Egholm skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Kunoy FS's Rasmus Højsted got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute, Ingi Troest Davidsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sjúrður Egholm was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Suni Jónsson took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sjúrður Egholm. Sjúrður Egholm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Ingi Troest Davidsen scored 5-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sjúrður Egholm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Suni Jónsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skælingur's supporters rose to their feet, but Suni Jónsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sjúrður Egholm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingi Troest Davidsen took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sjúrður Egholm. Sjúrður Egholm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. The supporters of Kunoy FS booed when Skælingur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jákup Midjurd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Skælingur's Jákup Midjurd pulled a muscle in his leg after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Abraham G. Hansen charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abraham G. Hansen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abraham G. Hansen kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 86thth minute of the game Ingi Troest Davidsen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kunoy FS's Sjúrður Egholm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ásbjørn Mikkelsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heini av Fløtum hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Atli Fróði Hansen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kunoy FS's supporters rose to their feet, but Atli Fróði Hansen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jónleif Eysturoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kunoy FS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Skælingur.
