Skælingur's Jónleif Eysturoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jákup Jónsson in the 3rd minute of play. Suni Jónsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marni Hans Rubeksen came out and tried to block the shot, but Suni Jónsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Marni Hans Rubeksen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Suni Jónsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marni Hans Rubeksen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 15th minute, Ingi Troest Davidsen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marni Hans Rubeksen. The goal made the score 3-0. If Ingi Troest Davidsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mykines's goalkeeper Marni Hans Rubeksen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Suni Jónsson's late challenge caught a Mykines's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Suni Jónsson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Skælingur getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Suni Jónsson hit a great ball. If Óli Stanković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ingi Troest Davidsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, Skælingur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atli Hansen to maneuver through the defense. Jónleif Eysturoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jákup Jónsson in the 39th minute of the match. Marni Hans Rubeksen came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Skælingur's Ingi Troest Davidsen. But to his dismay, Ingi Troest Davidsen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Suni Jónsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mykines booed when Skælingur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zsolt Gunnarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jákup Jónsson came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Mykines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jákup Jónsson couldn't finish the play. After having played for 62 minutes, Suni Jónsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skælingur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Suni Jónsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Mykines's Mikkjal Troest Davidsen got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Suni Jónsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marni Hans Rubeksen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70th play minutes Óli Stanković shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Jónleif Eysturoy and just under the crossbar into goal. Marni Hans Rubeksen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingi Troest Davidsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Mykines's goal looked a bit too open when Suni Jónsson came free, but Marni Hans Rubeksen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingi Troest Davidsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marni Hans Rubeksen having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Mykines's Jákup Jónsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jónleif Eysturoy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jákup Jónsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jónleif Eysturoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Óli Stanković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jónleif Eysturoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
