Jónleif Eysturoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jákup Martin Olsen in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Suni Jónsson in the 36th minute of play forced Vikarbyrgi's goalkeeper Jónleif Anghel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Skælingur defense, Hans Martin Joensen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jónleif Eysturoy. The Skælingur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jónleif Eysturoy should have stopped the shot. In the 48th minute Jákup Martin Olsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jónleif Eysturoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jákup Martin Olsen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
