When Amed Dam fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kvívík's protests and gave Amed Dam a yellow card for diving instead. Amed Dam hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Símun Jacobsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Tommy Rein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Regin Benjaminsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andy Jónsson made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Símun Jacobsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Rein was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. If Regin Benjaminsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Jens Anghel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jónhard Jacobsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Rein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Símun Jacobsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Tommy Rein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Símun Jacobsen in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Mikladalur's Jónhard Jacobsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Rein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Kvívík's zone, Jónhard Jacobsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Rein came out of the goal and Jónhard Jacobsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Rein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Símun Jacobsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rógvi Olsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Tommy Rein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jónhard Jacobsen in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Rein saved Kvívík from getting behind. Gert Højsted made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Regin Benjaminsen sent off a good shot on target. Kvívík's Andy Jónsson got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mikladalur walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
