Spectators: 8043 (Terracing: 6033, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 160) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Christian Martin Knudsen got the match started through his kick off. If Ingi Hanssen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the game, Jákup Frederiksberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rothley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skálafjørður the free kick. After 14 played minutes Skálafjørður got a freekick which was hit by Hjalgrím Davy Sylla. Fróði Hansens short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Poul Gunnarsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Skálafjørður getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rafał Castilho hit a great ball. Rothley's Fróði Hansen got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Skálafjørður's Øssur Jacobsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jón Hansen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ingi Hanssen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skálafjørður's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingi Hanssen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jón Hansen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fróði Hansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rothley's Jón Hansen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingi Hanssen in the 39th minute of play. Jón Hansen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingi Hanssen, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Pól Davy Sylla hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Fróði Hansen came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Rothley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fróði Hansen couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Øssur Jacobsen made a kick off. Christian Martin Knudsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andy Djurhuus during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had been going on for 63 minutes, Skálafjørður's Janus Jacobsen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jón Hansen. After 66 played minutes Skálafjørður got a freekick which was hit by John Samuelsen. After 67 played minutes, Rothley's Andy Djurhuus shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Poul Gunnarsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rothley reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingi Hanssen got free with Jón Hansen in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Martin Knudsen in the 71st minute of play forced Skálafjørður's goalkeeper Poul Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Jónhard í Skorini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skálafjørður's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rothley the free kick. Jónhard í Skorini kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Fróði Hansen struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Poul Gunnarsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rothley. In the 75th match minute, Rothley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sjúrður Danielsen to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rothley's zone, Øssur Jacobsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jón Hansen came out of the goal and Øssur Jacobsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Christian Martin Knudsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Poul Gunnarsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Skálafjørður's Poul Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Martin Knudsen in the 91st minute of play. The attack was good, but when Øssur Jacobsen in the 98th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.
