The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Nabar Zurica recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of René Pantoja. Nabar Zurica showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. René Pantoja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose-Enrique Arraz in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Jose-Enrique Arraz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of René Pantoja. DarkSpawn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jose-Enrique Arraz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After having played for 16 minutes, Silvano Benito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DarkSpawn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvano Benito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Nabar Zurica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Silvano Benito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Avia booed when DarkSpawn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Min Abril didn't get a good kick on the ball. Avia's Paul Azofra shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 23rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by René Pantoja but with some difficulty. Avia's Edilberto Carballido got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvano Benito might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artemio Alfaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvano Benito ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose-Enrique Arraz got free with René Pantoja in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edilberto Carballido was the one to do the kick off. Silvano Benito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Artemio Alfaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brion Zaplana fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avia's protests and gave Brion Zaplana a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Avia's Brion Zaplana got a free kick in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucila Rossello during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to DarkSpawn getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Lucila Rossello hit a great ball. If Edilberto Carballido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. René Pantoja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edilberto Carballido in the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Avia's Brion Zaplana got a free kick in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, DarkSpawn's Silvano Benito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artemio Alfaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edilberto Carballido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jose-Enrique Arraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Avia fans cheered their team off the field, for while DarkSpawn had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
