Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gilberto Abancens took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 5 played minutes CA Osasuna got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Tobias. Genaro Tobias got his second yellow card in the match during the 6th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to CA Osasuna getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Genaro Tobias hit a great ball. With a little luck, CA Osasuna's Kiko Helguera got control of the ball when Urko Tarin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilberto Abancens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Kiko Helguera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CA Osasuna's Kiko Helguera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Abancens in the 21st minute of play. Gilberto Abancens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Kiko Helguera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Rafael Darroja made a precise shot to the right of Kiko Helguera. CA Osasuna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilberto Abancens kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kiko Helguera. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Kiko Helguera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Abancens, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Gilberto Abancens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Helguera having to interfere. Urko Tarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kiko Helguera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafín Justo to make the kick off. Urko Tarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kiko Helguera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Lalo Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Abancens in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kiko Helguera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 minutes, Damario Mondejar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villarin and the CA Osasuna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Damario Mondejar kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Serafín Justo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordera Durango having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Urko Tarin notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of CA Osasuna's Kiko Helguera. Kiko Helguera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Serafín Justo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kiko Helguera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Abancens in the 73rd minute of the match. Rafael Darroja took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kiko Helguera. Kiko Helguera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Urko Tarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Kiko Helguera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Abancens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chan Blanco kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Gilberto Abancens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villarin's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Abancens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kiko Helguera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Villarin were the better team. Villarin's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
