The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vachon Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natxo Vagrande in the 4th minute of the match. When Vilgot Hedström came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Real Madrid CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilgot Hedström couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Epifanio Cuervas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Real Madrid CF's Vachon Santos. Vachon Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Real Madrid CF's attentive Gaspar Labarra managed to snatch the ball when Manolito Macho made a throw-in in the 11th minute of the game. UE Lleida's Doroteo Bermejo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilgot Hedström in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaquiel Vacas in the 19th minute of play forced Real Madrid CF's goalkeeper Vachon Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vachon Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Cuervas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Real Madrid CF's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Dorado came free, but Vachon Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vilgot Hedström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes of play, Real Madrid CF's Derwin Barro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doroteo Bermejo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vachon Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UE Lleida had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
