Ceferino Canosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montehermoso. After a rather tough play, Palencia River's Xamo Blanco got a free kick in the 11th minute. Montehermoso were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Palencia River's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jakes Barrientos took the corner. In the 16th minute, Isaias Ucero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 minutes, Fliz Roig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palencia River and the Montehermoso players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fliz Roig hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Fliz Roig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Aranzubia having to interfere. Baiardo Lermo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fliz Roig took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgilio Aranzubia. Virgilio Aranzubia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 53rd minute, Loreto Verges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frantzes Cambero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Canosa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Palencia River's Poli Jauregui got a free kick in the 56th minute. The supporters of Montehermoso booed when Palencia River was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Ucero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kaiet Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ceferino Canosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Poli Jauregui kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Milton Noya might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ceferino Canosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milton Noya ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fliz Roig in the 82nd minute of play forced Montehermoso's goalkeeper Virgilio Aranzubia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fliz Roig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Montehermoso's goalkeeper Virgilio Aranzubia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baiardo Lermo. Fliz Roig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palencia River's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
