Mel Izquierdo succeeded in the game's 5th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 12th minute, Lisandro Moñiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U.D.SALAMANCA S.A.D. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience was convinced that Mel Izquierdo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaizkine Rodriguez was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 17thth minute of the game Mel Izquierdo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U.D.SALAMANCA S.A.D.'s Gaizkine Rodriguez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Severo Portillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grigor Ushkolov went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Flavio Arribas fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benetusser UD's protests and gave Flavio Arribas a yellow card for diving instead. Grigor Ushkolov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severo Portillo having to make a save. In the 27th minute, Mel Izquierdo made a precise shot to the right of Gaizkine Rodriguez. U.D.SALAMANCA S.A.D.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Mel Izquierdo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benetusser UD's supporters rose to their feet, but Mel Izquierdo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaizkine Rodriguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grigor Ushkolov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Severo Portillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Grigor Ushkolov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, Lisandro Moñiz lined in a short shot 4-2 behind a frustrated Severo Portillo. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mel Izquierdo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mel Izquierdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. U.D.SALAMANCA S.A.D.'s Gaizkine Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mel Izquierdo in the 53rd minute of play. Lisandro Moñiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mel Izquierdo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Gaizkine Rodriguez made a huge save. Gaizkine Rodriguez came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Benetusser UD's Mel Izquierdo. But to his dismay, Mel Izquierdo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Antonio Acarreta hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Ibar Barberá blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severo Portillo having to make a save. 75 minutes into the match, Benetusser UD's goal looked a bit too open when Eneko Abrego came free, but Severo Portillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 played minutes U.D.SALAMANCA S.A.D. got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Jorquera. The throw-in from Stasio Cebula in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Benetusser UD's Flavio Arribas. In the 88th minute, Lisandro Moñiz made a precise shot to the right of Severo Portillo. Benetusser UD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. Grigor Ushkolov took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severo Portillo. Severo Portillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-3. When the referee ended the match the U.D.SALAMANCA S.A.D. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
