Bero Zurica came out of the goal and Eleazar Barrios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kepa Abajas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Racing Club de Basarrate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asier Bellido to maneuver through the defense. When Joey Barba came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Sanin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joey Barba couldn't finish the play. Joey Barba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joey Barba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes Racing Club de Basarrate got a freekick which was hit by Asier Bellido. In the 30th minute, Felix Lermo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Racing Club de Basarrate's Mario Sacristán didn't even have to move. Abejundio Torres struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Bero Zurica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club de Basarrate. Bero Zurica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abejundio Torres's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Kepa Esperta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sanin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club de Basarrate the free kick. The supporters of Racing Club de Basarrate booed when Sanin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kepa Esperta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bero Zurica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleazar Barrios in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eleazar Barrios made a kick off. Asier Bellido could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Bero Zurica made a huge save. Mario Sacristán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Barba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Racing Club de Basarrate booed when Sanin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Lermo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bero Zurica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abejundio Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Bero Zurica made a huge save. After 89 played minutes Sanin got a freekick which was hit by Kepa Esperta. With a little luck, Sanin's Bero Zurica got control of the ball when Abejundio Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sanin's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
