Spectators: 7312 (Terracing: 5485, Seating: 1682, VIP seats: 145) Las Higueras's Cutberto Gibert started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Las Higueras's goalkeeper Xose Canal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Francesco Carrasco came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Las Higueras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francesco Carrasco couldn't finish the play. Kepa Esperta hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If Gitano Morado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliverios Barroso's late challenge caught a Sanin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliverios Barroso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute Joey Barba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xose Canal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mikel Alonso during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Las Higueras a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José Ucero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sanin's Bero Zurica. 1-0. If Kepa Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th match minute, Las Higueras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliverios Barroso to maneuver through the defense. Kepa Abajas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kepa Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Las Higueras's Xose Canal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joey Barba in the 41st minute of play. Gitano Morado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Bero Zurica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis-Alfredo Garay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Cutberto Gibert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joey Barba might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xose Canal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joey Barba ran back to his position shaking his head. Xose Canal made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Kepa Abajas sent off a good shot on target. 64 minutes into the game, Sanin's Kepa Abajas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xose Canal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Joey Barba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Las Higueras's Cutberto Gibert got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Kepa Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Gitano Morado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Las Higueras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 84th match minute, Las Higueras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Ucero to maneuver through the defense. Felix Lermo shot from long distance in the 85th minute, but Xose Canal was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Xose Canal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Barba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kepa Abajas got free with Xose Canal in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute, Sanin's Joey Barba dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Kepa Abajas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xose Canal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
