Jerrald Garrido had several of the Omet FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Thiago Navas as he didn't even see the shot coming. Alvar Gomar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Navas having to interfere. A hard shot 16 in the game by Jerrald Garrido from a close distance when the talented Thiago Navas managed to make a qualified save. Omet FC's players were relieved. Thiago Navas made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Alvar Gomar sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Montxo Llorca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerrald Garrido in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Santa Mera's goal looked a bit too open when Etxeberri Ribas came free, but Nathaniel Coleman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Anaut Morales left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Omet FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Alvar Gomar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omet FC's Thiago Navas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Omet FC from getting a goal against them. Nathaniel Coleman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Etxeberri Ribas in the 45th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Omet FC's zone, Jerrald Garrido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Navas came out of the goal and Jerrald Garrido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Etxeberri Ribas made a kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Jerrald Garrido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Mera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerrald Garrido was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Jerrald Garrido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Navas was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. If Alvar Gomar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerrald Garrido in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Omet FC's zone, Alvar Gomar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Navas came out of the goal and Alvar Gomar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvar Gomar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Navas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. After 78 minutes, Jerrald Garrido made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Omet FC's Thiago Navas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jerrald Garrido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Thiago Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Jerrald Garrido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Alvar Gomar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Navas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Santa Mera's Paramananda Ponga got a free kick in the 96th minute. Nathaniel Coleman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mariano Segarra. Santa Mera's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
