Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Germany's Frank Sachs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Willy Stieler fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Willy Stieler a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Stieler to maneuver through the defense. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Independente F.C. Limeira's Frank Teixeira. But to his dismay, Frank Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After having played for 23 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robbie Southgate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 26th minute of the match. Independente F.C. Limeira's Robbie Southgate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robbie Southgate saved Independente F.C. Limeira from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Independente F.C. Limeira's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robbie Southgate came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severo Dubardo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Robbie Southgate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 37th minute of the match. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independente F.C. Limeira's goalkeeper Robbie Southgate, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbie Southgate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Teixeira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Tommy Kahn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luís do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Robbie Southgate didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Germany were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Independente F.C. Limeira's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frank Sachs took the corner. After taking down the ball on Germany's corner Sven Krakouer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Robbie Southgate quite easily take care of the ball. Robbie Southgate stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sachs's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was a well-played corner which Linus Schwerner managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Independente F.C. Limeira's Robbie Southgate got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Independente F.C. Limeira booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match Amador Quinten shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
