With a couple of smart ball manuevers Asier Buendia in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mariano Nadal saved Sevilla FC from getting behind. Asier Buendia struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Mariano Nadal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nocellas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bela Vega in the 29th minute of play forced Sevilla FC's goalkeeper Mariano Nadal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sevilla FC's goalkeeper Mariano Nadal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 32 minutes, Bilbo Moya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nocellas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bilbo Moya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Asier Buendia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Asier Buendia to make the kick off. Nocellas's Bela Vega got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bilbo Moya hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Nocellas's goal looked a bit too open when Mon Balboa came free, but Ovando Zapata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Bela Vega had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mariano Nadal. Sevilla FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bela Vega was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Mariano Nadal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bela Vega in the 87th minute. The audience was convinced that Asier Buendia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Nadal was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
