Etxeberri Rey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from William Zapico went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Juanito Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Eloy Mangas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for William Zapico to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Marino de Luanco's goal looked a bit too open when Tirso Puyol came free, but Eloy Mangas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marino de Luanco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bañares the free kick. In the 77th match minute, Marino de Luanco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Zapico to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Tirso Puyol sped through Marino de Luanco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eloy Mangas. If Juanito Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tirso Puyol succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marino de Luanco's goalkeeper Eloy Mangas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bañares walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
