The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerard Laredo was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Gelmiro Herrera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Cañadas. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. Shadows FC's Urko Reyes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quintan Tobias in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute Gelmiro Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Cañadas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shadows FC's Edelmiro Clemente shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 76th minute of play. The shot was stopped by José Cañadas but with some difficulty. After having played for 77 minutes, Gerard Laredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shadows FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerard Laredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
