In the 4th minute, Hercules C.F.'s Frasco Treviño seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Frasco Treviño the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hercules C.F. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Frasco Treviño had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Frasco Treviño hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When Xalvador De Toro came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Alma Guerrera AA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xalvador De Toro couldn't finish the play. Marcio Castaño scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zabal Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 14 minutes, Prometeo Coya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alma Guerrera AA and the Hercules C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes Alma Guerrera AA got a freekick which was hit by Prometeo Coya. In the 15th minute, Hernando Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felip Mezquita struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Aparicio Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alma Guerrera AA. In the 18th minute, Pascual Dellasierra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute Ildefonso Zapater shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zabal Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xalvador De Toro hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Zoel Barberá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alma Guerrera AA's supporters rose to their feet, but Zoel Barberá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aparicio Pena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 minutes, Pascual Dellasierra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alma Guerrera AA and the Hercules C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hercules C.F. booed when Alma Guerrera AA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Dellasierra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Alma Guerrera AA's goal looked a bit too open when Marcio Castaño came free, but Zabal Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alma Guerrera AA's Zabal Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcio Castaño in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Alma Guerrera AA's zone, Juan-Alfredo Mendez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zabal Torres came out of the goal and Juan-Alfredo Mendez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zabal Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcio Castaño in the 39th minute of play. Alma Guerrera AA's Prometeo Coya got his second yellow card of the match in the 40th minute. The referee ordered Prometeo Coya off the ground. Prometeo Coya kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Zabal Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcio Castaño's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Marcio Castaño had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zabal Torres. Alma Guerrera AA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcio Castaño was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half Hercules C.F. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Zoel Barberá made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Alma Guerrera AA's zone, Marcio Castaño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zabal Torres came out of the goal and Marcio Castaño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd match minute, Alma Guerrera AA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felip Mezquita to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Alma Guerrera AA's Zabal Torres got control of the ball when Marcio Castaño tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute Ildefonso Zapater shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zabal Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcio Castaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, one of Alma Guerrera AA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 0-3 came through a penalty shot after 73 played minutes, when Hercules C.F.:s David Quijana calmly waited for Alma Guerrera AA:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Hercules C.F.'s zone, Felip Mezquita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aparicio Pena came out of the goal and Felip Mezquita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zabal Torres came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hercules C.F.'s Marcio Castaño. But to his dismay, Marcio Castaño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Zabal Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcio Castaño in the 86th minute. Alma Guerrera AA's Zabal Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Alma Guerrera AA from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Marcio Castaño ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zabal Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Zabal Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan-Alfredo Mendez in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Marcio Castaño made a precise shot to the right of Zabal Torres. Alma Guerrera AA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6.
