After 24 minutes, Lluciano Llinares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Getxo and the Sporting Keltike players grew even worse after the yellow card. Domenech Briso ran back to his position shaking his head. Michel Antunez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenech Briso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Truylos Cazorla struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Michel Antunez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Keltike. Sporting Keltike's Domenech Briso got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berriotxoa Escobar's late challenge caught a Sporting Keltike's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berriotxoa Escobar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Berriotxoa Escobar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
