The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Encina in the 3rd minute of play forced Algezares de Murcia F. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manel Leon couldn't finish the play. In the 14thth minute of the game Luis Encina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Algezares de Murcia F. C.'s Rubio Borrás was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Sant Cugat Sesgarriges UD's goal looked a bit too open when Manel Leon came free, but Basilio Elias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cedro Maldonado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Rubio Borrás when he managed to save the team from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Algezares de Murcia F. C.'s zone, Cedro Maldonado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubio Borrás came out of the goal and Cedro Maldonado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rubio Borrás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Encina in the 57th minute of play. Caton Paris charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caton Paris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute Manel Leon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Elias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Algezares de Murcia F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cedro Maldonado came free, but Rubio Borrás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes, Luis Encina made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Algezares de Murcia F. C.'s Rubio Borrás tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubio Borrás prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luis Encina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Luis Encina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sant Cugat Sesgarriges UD fully deserved thier win.
