After 20 minutes, Lluciano Clos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Globo de Madrid and the Punta Del Español AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, El Globo de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lluciano Clos to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th match minute, Punta Del Español AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xan Sobrado to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Clemente in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Hidalgo saved Punta Del Español AFC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Celso Clemente sped through Punta Del Español AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Isidro Hidalgo. Punta Del Español AFC's Xan Sobrado got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristiano Alvarez was a little too slow when Haritz Cabezas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 3-1. With a little luck, El Globo de Madrid's Cristiano Alvarez got control of the ball when Horacio Turienzo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, El Globo de Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Haritz Cabezas came free, but Cristiano Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haritz Cabezas to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Arxel Noya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Punta Del Español AFC's Xan Sobrado got a free kick in the 61st minute. 63 minutes in the game, Dominic Benedicto fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Isidro Hidalgo having to interfere. El Globo de Madrid's Celso Clemente got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Globo de Madrid's Cristiano Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Turienzo in the 77th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Horacio Turienzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Clemente in the 85th minute of play forced Punta Del Español AFC's goalkeeper Isidro Hidalgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horacio Turienzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Horacio Turienzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Alvarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haritz Cabezas in the 94th minute of the match.
