An unexpectedly hard shot by Zelipe Higuera in the 21st minute of play forced Unseen Academicals's goalkeeper Teo Perrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecilio Bacete acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 24th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Chus Bargas. A collision led to Unseen Academicals getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tiburcio Machado hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Unseen Academicals's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Xavier Harroyo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Serafo Gonzalvez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cecilio Bacete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Unseen Academicals fans cheered their team off the field, for while ESPAÑA C.F. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
